DESCRIPTION:Registration is NOT REQUIRED. Register for email and/or text
reminders.\n\nJoin us in welcoming Vanessa Ivy Rose for a discussion about
her book\, *Hall of Fame DNA: The Legacy of Norman "Turkey" Stearnes*. The

both on and off the field.\n\nVanessa Rose is an author\, storyteller\, and
educator. In honor of her grandfather's baseball legacy\, she has hosted
 ABC's award-winning podcast\, "Reclaimed: The Forgotten League\," and
written a book titled "Hall of Fame DNA: The Legacy of Norman 'Turkey'
Stearns." Her work has been featured on platforms such as CNN\, GMA3\,
NPR\, Bally Sports\, and ESPN's 30 for 30 podcast channel. She has also
been invited to speak for various professional baseball organizations\, as
well as at the Detroit Historical Museum and the Hamtramck Historical
Museum.\n\n \n\nAs an athlete\, Vanessa has been featured in Sports
Illustrated. She played basketball in Barcelona and received a Division I
scholarship. One of the collegiate teams she played on has been
recognized in the school's Athletic Hall of Fame. In addition to her
